When it comes to physical activities, we often focus on the potential changes in our looks or internal body improvements rather than the overall experience and what we can learn from the practices.

Speaking of the importance of embracing an experience, I want to share with you some of the ways yoga is altering my life as a teenager who has just recently begun to practice this discipline.

Most yoga instructors encourage students to set an intention for the day's practice and for themselves at the start of class. I've discovered that making a goal and revisiting it during the lesson gives me a stronger sense of purpose while I am learning new variations of yoga. I've used this technique outside of the mat as well, and it can be a really effective approach to give each day a stronger sense of direction

Our breath is one thing that we simultaneously don’t have to think about and have the power to control. The ancient art of managing your breath through various techniques is known as pranayama in yoga. During my yoga classes, I've found that taking the time to sit with my breath has helped me feel less stressed and anxious. Even just a minute a day of pausing to breathe can be beneficial in all the distractions that come with daily life.

I'm now certain that if I dedicate myself to it, yoga can transform my entire life. With the yoga courses provided at Aham Brahmasmi Wellness Centre, I am able to connect with myself at a deeper level and connect with the spiritual benefits that come with these practices.
